Norma Sutton is a retired executive from SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories and Quest Diagnostics after a 33 year career. Her main responsibilities included buying, designing and building laboratories all over the United States and Europe. Her last project was for Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics and Clinical Trials development in Europe as Managing Director.
She played an integral role in recruiting companies to Central Florida to be part of the Medical City development in the Lake Nona area. She assisted in identifying sites, building facilities and locating companies to the heart of this dynamic development.
Norma specializes in the field of clinical laboratory development and management, business development, mergers and acquisitions, clinical trials management, union negotiation, international business, finance and commercial real estate.
Norma is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology (dual major in Biology and Chemistry as well as graduate studies in business). She holds a Real Estate Brokerage license in Florida and is dedicated to the development of the World Trade Center Orlando where she is Vice President.
Norma is very active in her community having been elected a Council member for the Town of Windermere and currently serves on the Development Review Board. In addition, she was the first female Rotarian in Central Florida, has held multiple leadership posts in Rotary and is the current President Elect of the Rotary Club of Windermere. She was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to the West Orange Healthcare District in 2014 where she currently serves as Board Chair
