Dr. Waeckerlin earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Wyoming and graduated from the University of Utah College of Medicine. His residency and fellowship in pathology were completed at the University of New Mexico, where he focused on forensic pathology. He has practiced anatomic, clinical and forensic pathology for over 40 years and served as medical director for United Blood Services in Cheyenne from 1989 to 2009. He has served on the Vitalant Board since 2008 and retired from active medical practice in 2015.
